40 minutes-Hands-on Reiki session
10 minutes- integration of session to discuss objectives and concrete actions for your wellness plan
What can Reiki do?
Anyone can benefit from a course of Reiki treatments, no matter what your age or your state of health, and beneficial changes can take place over a fairly short space of time by activating the parasympathetic system of the body through relaxation so it can produce:
Reduced stress and anxiety
Boosted energy levels
A feeling of inner calm (contentment and serenity)
A speeding up of the natural process
Reiki can also help you to:

What to expect during the session?
The session begins with the client briefly discussing his/her specific concern and intention for the session in my consultation room. Afterward, the practitioner will direct you to the Reiki room where the client is asked to lie down. He/She remains fully clothed except for shoes/slippers during the treatment session. He/She will also be asked to remove or loosen his/her belt so that the breathing will not be restricted. He/She is also asked to remove any jewelry (i.e. rings, bracelets or pendants) prior to the session, so consider leaving these items at home. It is best to choose loose-fitting garments with natural fabrics (i.e. cotton, wool, or linen) on the day of your appointment. The majority of the session will involve the practitioner holding her hands about 2-3 inches above the client’s body. Once the session begins, the practitioner allows the life force energy to flow through her hands, which may be experienced by the client as heat, coolness, vibrating, tingling, a light pressure, a slight pulling sensation, or nothing at all. The Practitioner will also use other hands-off techniques, such as sweeping the body of unneeded energy. The practitioner is simply a conduit or channel of the life force energy.
The most commonly reported benefits of Reiki are increased and smoother energy, greater calmness, and a sense of balance. Reiki energy encourages the recipient to let go of tension, anxiety, fear or other negative feelings, leading to a state of peace and well-being. Receivers often experience physical, emotional, and spiritual release during a session. Reiki complements other alternative therapies and traditional medical practices, assisting with healing on both the physical and emotional levels
Theory of Treatment
Stress, trauma, and illness restrict the natural flow of ki (chi) or “life force energy” through the body. By restoring the flow of life force energy through the body, Reiki rejuvenates the body’s ability to relax and, therefore, supports the body’s ability to heal itself. Although one session may be adequate, long-term imbalances in the body sometimes require multiple treatments in order to allow the body to reach the level of relaxation necessary to bring the system back into balance. Improvement often requires commitment on the client’s part (e.g., willingness to make lifestyle changes) in order to fully benefit from Reiki sessions.
How many Reiki Treatments do I need?
While a one-off Reiki treatment will do something beneficial for you, bringing a sense of calm and peacefulness, and maybe producing some short-term physical benefits too, the best results come through having a course of treatments, maybe 4-6 sessions at weekly intervals.
The effects of Reiki build up cumulatively. So, having a course of treatments helps to produce long-term beneficial changes for you on many levels.
